Urban Jazz Coalition is back…and better than ever! The band that has thrilled smooth jazz audiences from coast to coast returns with their energizing signature sound and some exciting new musical dimensions.
Following the band’s recent crowd-pleasing performances at The Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival with Nick Colionne, and The Jacksonville Beach Smooth Jazz Concert Series with Nelson Rangell, Urban Jazz Coalition is ready to release the 6th studio project of their illustrious 13-year career. The new CD, titled “A New Day”, will be serviced to smooth jazz radio on August 18, 2008, and available for retail and digital distribution through The Continuum Music Group in September.
“A New Day” continues to build on the Urban Jazz Coalition legacy, described by Brian Soergel of Jazz Times Magazine as “…A sound flush with rhythmic grooves, funky bass lines, smokin’ hot leads, and beautifully written songs”.
Sandy Shore of Smoothjazz.com recently reviewed an advance copy of “A New Day” and stated the following, “…I really like the entire project and I feel that this is the most solid UJC recording to date…I love it!
We think you’re going to love it too. We look forward getting the new CD to you and to playing the music live for you in 2008-2009. Stay tuned for more information about the new CD and some exciting tour dates to be announced soon.
We can’t wait to see our old friends again…and to make some new friends, too! Hope to see you soon…until then, May God Bless You All.
